Act 2 : "Premonition"
ACT 2
PREMONITION
A movement had taken hold, pulling at the body towards a light--the movement begun as just a tugging towards the light but turns into flight. The surroundings with it's noises and it's sights blur away from the light as movement increases, to the point all colors and sound and feeling become one-- And the light itself overlaps and even begins to overpower all other senses. Faster and faster, blurring and blurring
--Blurring itself into darkness.
Movement turns inward, like the mind itself forming a tunnel at it's core and traveling through, bringing the rest of the body through like a spaghetti noodle.
until movement itself becomes a blur of direction.
A calm breeze flows, the sound of leaves in high places comes from every direction. The ground is hard, unmoving, uneven, dirt. Darkness is everywhere, the air is cool and open and carries the scent of salt water.
The sky feels open, but nothing makes a sound other than distant vegetation reacting to the touch of the wind; not a bird, not even a cricket. Even the wind seems to be slipping by without a whistle
The darkness itself is calm, without a predator.
Sensations of body, of mind, of soul, are no longer meshed--blurred between, noodled.
But, hunger and thirst are penetrating sensations that start to knock at the subconscious. With the sensations of nourishment needs also come the rest of the normal sensations associated with self, including thought.
Whatever happened is now over, the transition possibly too much of a blur to have any meaning outside of symbolism; an after thought to whatever needs may be arising from the new environment. Survival is but an instinct now, curiosity is just foreplay for the mystery of the now.

Awakened:
By some miracle like the creation of life itself, the darkness is calmly penetrated by light, on the horizon in the distance--a dimly lit world in mostly blue colors shows itself.
A forest-- Massive and dense and wild.
Many shapes strewn in the shortly visible distance; arching branches and twisting vines all over the landscape. Tropical, full, healthy--but unyielding of color because of how dim the light is.
The blue color is just a bi-product of the fact that the source of light seems to be high in the sky like it is the sun, but it may be early morning.
The light coming from the horizon reveals more in it's path than what is shadowed behind the light. This gives the atmosphere a very real and very earthly appearance. But also a haze covers the light that reaches into the sky and seems to be creeping into a ground fog that flows through the visible vegetation in the distance. And the light seems to be moving, very slowly but steady--
"Over here.."
A voice penetrates the silence, but is whispery..
Unassuming, and
Feminine...
But it is also...
---familiar----
...like Déjà vu
Silence returns.
What instincts will take hold?
